Travel and Ground Transport

Located 8 km / 5 miles east of the city, Exeter International Airport has a great range of ground transportation options including local buses, express buses, commercial shuttles and taxis.
Most of the large hotels in the region have courtesy shuttles to transport guests to and from the airport and there are fast and convenient train-bus connections to the airport from both of Exeter's railway stations.
Shuttle Buses
Local buses run several routes from the airport to destinations in and around Exeter. Service 56 runs between the airport and Exeter Bus Station, while service 60/380 goes to Ottery St. Mary, Honiton and Axminster. Service H complements the Exeter St. Davids TaxiBus service (see train section below). Contact the airport information desk for details on current timetables.
Hotel Shuttles
There are a host of quality hotels, inns, bed and breakfasts and other lodgings in the region surrounding the airport, of which many have courtesy airport transfer services. If you are unsure if your lodgings provide airport transportation, contact them directly or through your travel agent in advance of your arrival. In most cases, these services need to be booked in advance.
Trains
There are fast and convenient Airport TaxiBus services to both Exeter Central Station (8 km / 5 miles away) and Exeter St. Davids Station (just over 8 km / 5 miles away), making it extremely feasible to travel to and from the airport using bus-train transfers. The TaxiBus service requires at least three fare-paying passengers otherwise an equivalent taxi fare rate will be applied to the journey. Exeter Central Station has hourly services to London Waterloo and Exmouth stations, while Exeter St. Davids Station has convenient links to London Paddington and Cornwall stations.
Taxi Cabs
Only one taxi company is authorised to operate from the airport, which is Corporate Cars. Apart from having taxis on standby, taxis can be pre-booked either online or via telephone on: +44 1395 233 728. Corporate Cars can also provide minibuses with advance notice.
